OMAM Review

1. Historical Background:
This storyline is set in the year 1929, around the start of the Great Depression. Also during this time racisim was flourishing through the United States. Migrant Workers were beginning to lose hope of ever finding a steady job.

2. Setting, Chapter 1:
Time -1929
Place -A clearing in a forset 10 miles away from a workers ranch.
Environment -Very relaxed

3. Setting, Chapter 2:
Time -1929
Place -A workers ranch
Environment -Very Hostlie

Direct: He always takes care of Lennie
Indirect: He's not related to Lennie
Direct: He wishes he didnt have to take care of Lennie
Indirect:He and Lennie have been traveling all over looking for work for long while.

Direct: He's Socially Challenged
Direct: He always gets George and himself in trouble.
Indirect: He looks up to George
Direct: He's tall big and strong

7. Direct & Indirect Characterization of the Swamper
Direct:He's missing a hand.
Direct: His best friend is a dog.
Indriect: He knows everything that goes on around the ranch.
